Simple Bike Rental Pro 2.0.4 is now available, with improvements to booking reliability and everyday rental management.
This release improves availability checks, payment handling and the clarity of information shown to customers and administrators.
More Accurate Availability
We have refined availability checks for bicycles and accessories, taking into account requested quantities, existing bookings and the buffer time between rentals.
Pending bookings reserve bicycles and accessories for the allotted time. Once that time expires, availability is restored without waiting for scheduled cleanup.
Checks are now more consistent across the calendar, website bookings and administrative actions, including booking changes and reactivation.
Improved Stripe Payment Handling
The payment flow has been strengthened to handle full payments, deposits and Stripe notifications more reliably.
If a payment arrives after a booking has expired or been cancelled, the case is flagged for an administrator to review. This prevents automatic reactivation of a booking when the required bicycles or accessories may no longer be available.
A Dedicated Payment Reconciliation Page
The payment reconciliation page helps administrators identify payments that need attention and review the reason, amounts and associated booking.
Compact rows with expandable details make the list easier to browse, even when several cases are present. Administrators can record review notes and close or reopen a case while preserving its history.

Clearer Confirmations and Improved Compatibility
Payment summaries show the amounts recorded for the booking: the total rental cost, amount paid and remaining balance.
For bookings that require email confirmation, the message on the website now reminds customers to check their spam or junk folder.
We have also improved compatibility with other plugins that use Stripe, reducing the risk of conflicts between their libraries.
Before Updating
As with any WordPress update, we recommend backing up your files and database before installation.
The update preserves existing bookings and settings and adds the structures needed for the improved payment handling.
Version 2.0.4 focuses on strengthening existing features, making them more reliable and laying the groundwork for future improvements to Simple Bike Rental Pro.
