Upgrade to a new version
When a new version of Simple Bike Rental Pro is available, you will receive an email notification, or you can download the update from your library on Gumroad.
As a premium plugin, the update does not occur automatically, unlike the free plugin in the WordPress repository. The update must be done manually by uploading the .zip file of the new version.
1. Download the new version from your Gumroad account.
Go to https://gumroad.com/library and log in with the email address you used for the purchase.
Download the updated .zip file of the Simple Bike Rental Pro plugin. Do not unzip it.
2. Go to the WordPress panel and select “Add plugin.”
From the WordPress admin panel, go to: Plugin → Add New → Upload Plugin
3. Upload the new .zip file
- Click on “Choose File”
- Select the .zip file you just downloaded.
- Click on “Install Now”
4. Replace the existing plugin
WordPress will detect that the plugin is already installed and display the following message:
“This plugin is already installed. Do you want to replace it with the uploaded version?
Click on “Replace current with uploaded”
note: All your data, including bicycles, reservations, and settings, will remain intact. The plugin is overwritten, but it is not deactivated or removed.
5. Confirm that the new version is active
After installation, go to the plugin screen and check that the updated version appears in the Simple Bike Rental line. If you see the correct number, the update was successful.
